This image is an 1895 mission photograph of Moroni Miner, the third child of Tamma and Albert Miner.* At age fifteen, Moroni left Kirkland, Ohio and crossed the plains in the company of his widowed mother and seven brothers and sisters. He married Nancy Elizabeth Chase in 1861 in the Salt Lake City Endowment House. The couple resided in Springville for the remainder of their lives, and had fifteen children together. Moroni passed away in 1935 at the age of 100, and was the oldest resident in the history of the city of Springville at that time.**
